Philadelphia, PA (PRunderground) May 01, 2008 — As the country falls deeper into a recession, more and more people are looking for ways to save money. Now, thanks to a little help from David Lim, the driving force behind the Web site FatBuys.com (http://www.fatbuys.com), consumers are saving money on everything from clothing to electronics.

The site is a bargain hunter’s dream. Everyday Lim posts updates with the latest deals and coupons that he finds from around the Internet. While there are similar sites online, FatBuys.com usually ends up with a fair amount of unique deals, which bigger sites sometimes overlook.

“I’ve learned that most of the time you can find better bargains online than from a physical store,” says Lim. “It’s just easier nowadays to shop online, because there’s a huge price difference, not to mention you can save money without ever stepping out your front door. Even if online prices are close to the in-store prices, it’s still worth it to buy online for a lot of people, because they’re saving on the cost of gas.”

And while FatBuys.com is currently a one-man-show, Lim is hoping to bring together a community of like-minded individuals. He’s added an online forum, which allows people to register and share their own online deals.

“Eventually the forum will become a place where shoppers will be able to help each other find deals,” says Lim. “Imagine having a team of shoppers, all searching the Internet, looking to find you the cheapest deal possible. That’s my goal.”
