Artist MASS Releases New Project “Phase 1”

Virginia native MASS has an impressive background in live performances as well as his body of recorded works. His last project “MASS” premiered on XXL in January 2017 which featured appearances from platinum collaborators as well as production from VERYRVRE, Butch Dawson, and Dan Stuckie. His latest project “Phase 1” marks a new chapter in the artist’s career as he brings the live sound he’s cultivated into focusing on developing a listenership through recorded music.

“Phase 1” is a 5 track project that explores the groovy street music style that MASS developed over years of performing live and reacting to the way his sound affected crowds of listeners. The lead single “Marta” features sick bass beats with a laid back flow layered on top and features fellow artist Surfwaveaton. Dan Stuckie produced.

“Phase 1” will be available on all major music platforms on May 3rd.

The project features appearances from  DRAM, Young Syrup, BKA Trip and Surfwaveaton. “Phase 1” includes production from; VERYRVRE, Butch Dawson, DRAM, Mitch Arizona, and Dan Stuckie. The single “Only Gang” was produced by DRAM & Roget Chahayed.The artwork for this project was curated by Kodone.

MASS has toured with acclaimed artists including Metro Boomin’, Chance the Rapper, DRAM & Waka Flocka. He has also appeared on DRAM’s #1Epic EP on track “2$”. In the studio, he’s worked with artists like Trae The Truth, Remy Banks, Grim Dave also known as DP. MASS was feautured on the Fun Facts section of “Music Choice” stating that, “MASS was a key influence in encouraging DRAM to take his live performances on the road, outside the state of VA.”

MASS’s business holdings continue to grow, his independent Label W.O.E. (Wave OVer Everything) inked a digital distribution partnership deal with Empire Distribution in May 2017. MASS continues to work on new material, he is looking forward to announcing a release date for the music video for his single “Caught a Play” and a new project later this year.
