Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) January 17th, 2019

When black-owned businesses and services connect with black customers, all involved, including the greater community benefits. That’s the spirit that has inspired the exciting black-owned business, service, and customer platform Bburb, and its eye-opening new contest. For 10-months Bburb will be giving a $100 gift certificate away each month to a customer who visits three or more black-owned businesses or service providers, either online or in-person. To qualify for the contest, you must be a follower of Bburb on Instagram and Facebook, document your experience with a photo or video, leave a review of the businesses on the Bburb app, and post the pictures to social media using the hashtag #bburbvillage on Instagram or a tag Bburb on Facebook. The end result is helping build black-owned businesses and giving consumers a $100 gift certificate to use on their favorite goods or services at a black-owned business.

“This is exciting for us to help encourage support for the Bburb community,” commented a spokesperson from the platform. “Let’s help our village grow together and all be more empowered!”

The Bburb app is available as a free download from both the iTunes and Google Play store.

Recent black-owned businesses featured as Bburb highlights include “Dental Partners of Owings Mills”, “Fresh Bakery”, “Who Will You Inspire”, and “TMG 2 Travel”, to name just a few.

The reviews for the Bburb platform have been extremely positive.

Michelle S., from Boston, recently said in a five-star review, “I do my best to always support black-owned businesses. Sometimes it has been a little bit difficult with me being new in the city. A resource like Bburb is a huge help since I travel a great deal and the app is so easy to use!”

About Bburb

Bburb is a village that brings black buyers to black businesses. Why a village? We believe in the proverb that it takes a village. It takes a village to raise a strong community. It takes a village to have thriving businesses. A strong community is one with thriving businesses, service professionals and consumers to support the village. Black consumers are the largest group of consumers in the world, yet our businesses and service providers receive the least support.
