Build A Castle For Your Kingdom At Discovery Cube Orange County

Industry: Family & pets

Beginning October 12 the new Castle Builder exhibit will enable guests to build a castle brick by brick and be fully immersed in castle life

Santa Ana, CA (PRUnderground) September 4th, 2019

Children of all ages and their families will be transported to the age of kingdoms and become castle builders as part of a new exhibit, Castle Builder, at Discovery Cube Orange County. Running from October 12, 2019, to January 27, 2020, the unique exhibit will give guests a fully immersed experience of what it’s like to live in a castle.

“The new Castle Builder exhibit will test children’s planning and construction skills as they build a castle brick by brick and experience life inside a castle,” said Joe Adams, CEO, Discovery Cube. “Guests will get to explore a castle and see all of its intricacies, use a catapult to test the strength of a fortress wall, and even visit a dragon’s cave.”

After building a toy castle of their own in one of three age-appropriate build areas, guests can visit a castle and see the king and queen’s thrones, a suit of armor made out of LEGO® bricks, and the king’s secret treasure room filled with jewels. Children can also dress up in child-sized, medieval-themed costumes, visit the lookout tower to fend off intruders, and study secrets from real-world castles such as Blarney, Arundel, and Neuschwanstein.

Additionally, guests can test out the strength of the castle walls by using a 3-D computer program and hands-on catapult to virtually build and test the walls and learn the most durable way to build the castle’s defenses. Children can then visit the dragon’s cave and create a fantastical story about knights, kings, princesses, and dragons.

Created for children of all ages and their families, the 2,200 square-foot Castle Builder exhibit invites builders to explore, use their imaginations, and have fun playing in the Middle Ages.

You can build your own castle from the ground up beginning October 12. General admission tickets or memberships are required to fully immerse yourself in castle life. Tickets can be purchased online at www.oc.discoverycube.org or at the science center.

This exhibit was produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit institution committed to creating extraordinary family learning experiences across the arts, sciences, and humanities that have the power to transform the lives of children
