The company attributes the surge in bookings for their villas in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura to the unusually severe winter weather in the British Isles over the last 3 to 4 weeks combined with strong customer promotions.

“Our villas in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are always strong sellers over the winter period but the demand so far this January has been nothing short of phenomenal. People are clearly sick of the freezing weather and want to escape to somewhere warm” says Julie Blake, Marketing Manager of Solmar Villas. “We’ve also been running a number of very strong promotions during January and these are also having a positive effect on our sales” says Blake.

The company is running a number of special offers and promotions including the Winter Sun Discount which enables customers to save up to £200 per week on departures up to 25th March 2010.

Additional promotions include free nights offers on departures between now and 18th May 2010. During this period customers can book 7 night stays and only pay for 5, or 14 night stays and only pay for 9.
