Facebook has turned into this incredible one man show. Well no not really, the fact is that because of us the users….almost 500 million and counting, the Facebook numbers are staggering. I mean we have friends, groups, fan pages, games, gifts, pokes and so much more. Who would have thought that you could have 2,000 friends hang out with you all at once…A year and a half ago PRUnderground and so many other companies had no Facebook fan page. Now it seems if you do not have one you are left in the dark.

Foursquare: Not Just for Recess Anymore
In today’s world, its crucial to be ahead of the game; you have to know what’s hot and what’s not. Foursquare is hot. Don’t think this is some game you play outside on the blacktop with that red kickball. No, no my friends. Foursquare is a new social networking concept, where users “check in” at different locations around their cities, and earn coveted badges.
Example: I was at my local Starbucks. Using my blackberry, (foursquare is designed to be used on smart-phones because you check-in when you are out and about) I logged into my foursquare account, checked into this specific Starbucks location, and chose to share it with my friends, both through Twitter and Facebook.
Social Media News Release Myths Debunked
Posted in: Blog | Social Media Press Release
It infuriates me when I read false and bogus articles that are not researched properly. It gives my industry a black eye when a company such as MillionDollarArea.com writes an article about reasons to avoid Social Media News Releases and they do not take the time to properly research the industry. They hurt not just us in the industry but the consumer who can benefit .
Introducing Jacqueline DeVito

Hi everyone! I’m Jacqueline DeVito, and I’m excited that Alex has asked me to blog with him for PRUnderground. I’ve been working here for about three weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier.
The funny thing is, I have no formal experience with this kind of “computer stuff.” I graduated in three and a half years (I’m very proud of that) from The University at Albany with a Bachelors in US History and minor in Judaic studies. My main plan was to graduate and go to law school. However, I just was never motivated enough to actually apply. There was always the lingering thought of, “Do I really want to do this?” I’ve been legal assistants for various law firms between Poughkeepsie and Albany, but I just never was 100% happy.

Many People ask me.. Why send out Social Media News Releases to your clients?
My answer is always simple. Social Media Releases drive traffic to your site and create a buzz about your brand by engaging your audience. After all… the hottest thing happening on the web is people to people engagement. What better way to engage a conversation about your brand…than to send out a Social Media Release.

Tired of all the iPad bashing? Well you won’t find any of that here, so read on! And before you start calling me a Mac Head and think my opinion is biased, I should point out that I own three computers and not one of them is a Mac. I have an HP TouchSmart All-In-One, a Toshiba laptop, and…well, embarrassingly enough, an Acer laptop. (I can’t let this pass without a disclaimer, so here it is: I bought it for my husband for Christmas. He is not a tech person, he only surfs the Internet and for $50 more than a netbook, it was a good deal).
What To Do If Your Facebook Account Is Disabled.
Posted in: Social Networking
OK so about a month ago, a friend of mine was trying to promote her daughters acting career on Twitter. She asked me if I would help her create a Twitter profile page for her daughter. Of course I obliged and jumped right on it. Well OK maybe I waited a week or so. When the twitter profile Page was complete,@pamelastar313 We decided to get her family and friends who were on Facebook to become followers on twitter. This seemed like an easy task. So started my long journey into the Facebook den of inequity.
Introducing Heather Walsh
Posted in: Blogger
Hello! My name is Heather Walsh. Recently, I have been crowned a computer geek; so recently in fact, that my tiara has not yet arrived, but I’m assuming I will have it in the mail any day now! A few days ago, Alex invited me to be a guest blogger on PRUnderground after our discussions regarding Apple’s new iPad. I must admit, I am honored to be here and hope all you readers out there have time to follow yet another blog.Apple iPad: Why did The iPad Fail?
Posted in: Apple Products | Apple iPad
I love Apple products. I really do love them. I will not buy any other phone after buying the iPhone. I love my iPhone. I think it is so much more advanced than any other phone in the market. Every time another company comes out with the iPhone killer I laugh at all the people who agree. I laugh even harder when their so-called iPhone killer fail.
So it came as no surprise to me when Apple touted the Apple iPad as “our most advanced technology in a magical and revolutionary device”. It was supposed to blow my Aunt Connie’s socks off. I waited all morning for Steve Jobs to show us the next really great big thing from Apple.
