OK you have your WordPress site up and running. After doing all your research, going to WordCamps, WordPress meetups, and talking to SEO experts you installed the proper plugins. It is now time to publish your first blog post. Wait a minute…..Why am I not getting loads of traffic to my website?
It may be because you have not modified the update services on your WordPress writing settings. You see, every time you publish a blog post, WordPress automatically notifies popular Update Services by sending a ping.

Once again Google came up with another update. If you have not heard of it yet, you will soon. It is called the “Search, plus your world” update. This Google update really gets personal. However, in order to use it, you must be signed in to Google Plus. It seems that Google is really going after Facebook by having everyone sign up for a Google Plus account. Why not, after all they are the worlds biggest search engine.

How do some of my clients get over 300 re-tweets and tons of page views on their release? They are using trending keywords to attract readers.
Google recently came up with the Google Freshness algorithm update. This update affects 35% of Google search queries. It means Google will rank fresh content higher on the search engines. A component of this update is a litte known formula known as Query Deserve Freshness. QDF will rank hot trending keywords ahead of all other search queries. It is a great way to publish content and beat your competition.

There are very few services that have the ability to provide content and get it ranked high on Google within minutes. With a social media press release (SMPR) you can do just that. An SMPR is also very search engine friendly as you will see. What if I told you that for under $20 not only will you rank high on Google within minutes but you will also increase traffic to your website dramatically.
A year ago I was looking for an SEO tool that would make my job easier. I needed a tool that could do a number of different task. I tried several tools and they all pulled the same gimmick. Before I tell you what they pulled let me just say that in order to test these tools, I selected a small website that had been optimized so well, that they even out-ranked a fortune 500 company that sold them a franchise license.

Well my friends Facebook is at it again. I was just about to post this when I found out of another major change they did without telling us. Did you know that now your business fan page can now be used as your account? If you go to the top right and click on account, it is right there “Use Facebook as Page” . This means that instead of me linking my personal page to my business page, all I have to do now is create a fan page without linking it. I’ll have to check this out further. They are forever changing the way we interact via social media and don’t even tell us!!!
By Alex Miranda OK so let’s get down to business. I rarely ever see a website that has proper title tag structure. Really if after you read this article and you have any of these improper title tag structures, please do me a favor and fix them. Do not let this go. Title tags are one of the most important ranking factors for Google. There are so many ranking factors from the title tags that I figured I would give you some of the most important tips.
When I take on an SEO marketing project for a client, I review their entire website. I review everything from their logo to their content. Does your logo work for your website? Does the website identify your brand? Is the website user friendly? Are you reaching your target market? These factors can all have a huge impact on whether a person who found your website will stay or leave within seconds. However, the single most important factor is CONTENT.
Many People ask me.. Why send out Social Media News Releases to your clients?
My answer is always simple. Social Media Releases drive traffic to your site and create a buzz about your brand by engaging your audience. After all… the hottest thing happening on the web is people to people engagement. What better way to engage a conversation about your brand…than to send out a Social Media Release.
During my 13+ years of being a search engine optimization (SEO) consultant, I have seen so many websites that need basic search engine optimization. It is a habit that whenever I go to a Meetup, Chamber of Commerce meeting, WordPress Wordcamp, Business Expo or just see a web address on whatever, I immediately check out what they have done about optimizing their website. Sadly, I rarely come across a website that has been optimized at all. If I do come across an optimized website, It Sucks!!
