Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) June 28th, 2016

The Downtown Center Business Improvement District [DCBID] is marking Downtown LA’s emergence from a 17-year transformative renaissance with the introduction of a new brand for the organization and its website, DowntownLA.com – reflecting the vibrancy of the new DTLA, announced Carol Schatz, President & CEO of the DCBID. Having become the definitive resource and guide for downtown residents, workers, visitors, investors and property owners during the past 17 years, DowntownLA.com is re-launching today with the new brand that pays homage to Downtown’s new unofficial social media moniker, DTLA.

After more than a dozen years promoting Downtown LA as the place to live, work, and play, the DCBID is now focused on guiding the area’s growth toward its maturation into one of the world’s great urban centers. “Where we once had to convince residents, businesses, and investors to just consider Downtown, we are now part of an amazing 24/7 destination that looks forward to a fabulous future. And with this maturation comes the necessity for a more sophisticated brand that is not only reflective of today’s Downtown, but one that will stand strong in the years to come,” stated Schatz.

Designed by local Downtown LA branding and design firm, Ferroconcrete, the new brand represents the enthusiasm and vibrancy of the new Downtown LA, while giving the website a distinctive mark that raises awareness of and builds a connection to ‘DTLA’. Additionally the new brand is bold and flexible, allowing for the incorporation of imagery and bright colors to highlight the creativity of the area.

“With DowntownLA.com now established as the number one Downtown resource, and for some, the first impression of our city, it was imperative that the website be iconic, memorable and dynamic. With our new brand and website, the DCBID stands ready to welcome Downtown’s future,” said Schatz. To experience the new DCBID website, visit www.DowntownLA.com.
