Convenient, online training now available for healthcare professionals

TAMPA, Florida (PRUnderground) June 2nd, 2016

Ed4HHS is happy to announce that it has partnered with Hughen Center to offer healthcare professionals access to critical training resources via its online classroom. Effective immediately, Hughen Center staff will have the ability to stay abreast of ongoing healthcare trends, in an easily accessible online environment, to better serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities enrolled at the center.

E4O_HH_Globe on Right.jpgUntil this partnership, Hughen Center staff have undertaken ongoing training on a face-to-face basis, requiring all staff members to attend seminars and classes in-person. In adopting a contemporary training approach through Ed4HHS’ online classroom, staff members will now be able to engage in continuing education and training at a time, place and pace that’s convenient for them.

The digital nature of Ed4HHS’ online training will give all staff members 24/7/365 access to critical education and training materials, pertinent to helping professionals stay up to date on health and human service topics such as working with physically and developmentally impaired persons. Hughen Center will still retain the superior standards it has always held its staff to as it adopts a more streamlined training approach.

“Our ability to educate and empower kids with physical and cognitive impairments is rooted in the knowledge of our professional staff. By giving them the best resources to educate themselves and stay in touch with current ideas, trends and topics, we’re making an investment in our students,” said Dr. Bobby Lopez, Executive Director at Hughen Center. “Our partnership with Ed4HHS is one that will serve to improve our professional capabilities across the board.”

Founded in 1936, Hughen Center is a foremost institutional learning environment for children with physical and cognitive impairments. The Center’s mission is to help students with disabilities find their path in life with dignity and grace, assisting them on their journey through therapy, education and guidance.
