Industry: Entertainment & Games

Ancona, Italy (PRUnderground) March 3rd, 2015

The debut concert of the 3C band was welcomed by an enthusiastic audience at the sold-out Sperimentale Theatre in Ancona, Italy, on 27th February 2015.

3C played a tribute concert to the legendary ‘70s prog-rock trio Emerson, Lake & Palmer, a concert called “Emerson, Lake & Palmer Reloaded”.

3C performed a programme featuring most of EL&P’s famous pieces, including among others: “Tarkus”, “Karn Evil 9 1st Impression”, “Lucky Man”, “Trilogy”,

“Hoedown”, “The Endless Enigma”, “Take a Pebble”. The concert ended with a thrilling encore: a medley of “Fanfare for the Common Man” together with other EL&P’s super-hits.

3C is formed by Marcello Colo’ keyboards, Corrado Canonici bass/guitars/vocals, Alessandro Carlini drums/percussion.

3C are experienced musicians with a wealth of experience and a common passion for EL&P’s music; Marcello and Alessandro have already played successful tribute shows to include a sold-out Genesis tribute concert. Corrado is Keith Emerson’s agent and had the honour of playing with Mr Emerson in a few occasions.

The multimedia side of the concert was a welcome addition to the show, featuring several EL&P’s photos and videos including rare ones, as well as close-ups of the 3C performing on stage.

The attention to details has been, to say the least, amazing. Colo’ dressed like the Keith Emerson of the “Honky Tonk Train Blues” video and featured a very believable Moog banner looking as if a real modular Moog was there. Canonici showed a copy of the well-known Greg Lake’s angel necklace and a real Persian carpet! Alessandro Carlini brought to the scene a spectacular drum set.

But the main vintage component of the “EL&P Reloaded” concert was the instruments, featuring eg: A100 Hammond Organ, Fender Jazz Bass, Gibson Les Paul, Tama drums and several vintage amplifiers and accessories.

The icy on the cake has been provided by the video-message which Keith Emerson has generously recorded for this 3C’s “EL&P Reloaded” concert.

The band 3C is currently planning a tour.
