EYES INC OF NJ Secures DOL/VET Funding to Assist Homeless Veterans in New Jersey With Employment

Industry: Non Profit & Charity

Essex County, NEW JERSEY (PRUnderground) September 8th, 2021

After successfully developing and implementing an HVRP (Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program) for the past four years for another agency, Dr. Croix-Ronald Coppáge has been successful once again in securing HVRP funding; but this time it is for EYES INC of NJ, the nonprofit agency he established, and where he is the Chief Executive Officer.

Under Dr. Coppáge’s leadership, Maximizing Opportunities for Veterans to Employment and Success (MOVES) will target at-risk homeless veterans in the north and central regions of New Jersey; as well as target incarcerated veterans, who are 30 or less days from returning to any of the counties being served.

MOVES will provide centralized access to a strong supportive network of comprehensive, client-centered, wrap-around services to strengthen and enhance stability for no less than 100 New Jersey Veterans and their families. This will be buttressed by direct supportive services, including free career-driven vocational and soft-skills training; job placement services, legal services, and critical transportation. Further, to support our Veterans with job retention, MOVES offers limited financial assistance with cell phone bills, car insurance, etc. that are in arrears.  Also, MOVES offers emergency housing referral services (SSVF), permanent housing through HUD-VASH, domestic violence and MST support and counseling, as well as linkage to VA Benefits.
