Half Term and Halloween at the Corn Exchange – Manchester

Some of us are in the thick of it, for others it’s just about to begin… What are we talking about? Half term of course! The last school holiday before the start of the festive period. This coming Friday 28^th October sees Pumpkin Rolling races, outside the Corn Exchange in Cathedral Gardens. If your offspring are particularly competitive; why not take them along? A tradition in the United states, Pumpkin Rolling was bound to hit the UK at some point, particularly now that the poor, lowly turnip has been usurped by its American counterpart.

Another exciting event taking place over the Halloween weekend (and something for the grown-ups) are the Tarot Readers in the atrium. Starting on Sunday 30^th October a new monthly residency will begin. Between 1pm and 7pm you can have your fortune told, at just £25.00 for a 30-minute session, you can tap into the supernatural and see what the future potentially holds… Should you need a stiff drink following your reading, you can then take your pick from some of the best bars in Manchester city centre to settle your nerves!
