All-new web series puts a new spin on ‘Jacob The Series’

MIAMI, FLORIDA (PRUnderground) May 9th, 2016

The team at Non-Human Films is excited to formally announce the launch of their latest creation, the Rebirth web series. The new horror web series is a new version of Jacob The Series, offering a modified story line with exciting edits, footage, content, and more.

“It is more cinematic and has higher production value, so it’s practically a new series altogether,” said Kristopher Stoltz.

The Rebirth web series centers around a mysterious stalker, Ben, who is trying to protect police academy reject Jacob from a Faceless ghost and his followers. Throughout the series, he has to hide his face and negotiate with the Fisherman to survive Jeff The Killer, Jane The Killer, and more.

Shield Filmworks launched Jacob The Series in 2014. The series ran for 6 episodes, with its final episode being the mid season finale. Non-Human Films picked it up and gave it a new look. “The series has been remastered with a different construction of the story and alternate film techniques,” said Stoltz.

Inspirations for Rebirth include Creepypasta, urban legends, and Japanese myths, and features actors Richard Sosa, David de la Fe, Pappas, Vania Vieta, Jason Goodchild, and Norbert Velez, Jr. Characters include Faceless, a creature inspired by Noppera-Bo, Slender Man, Greenman, and others. There are many unknowns about Faceless, but it is known that he is extremely powerful, doesn’t move a lot, and has a cult following dedicated to his motives. The main character, Ben, lives to keep Jacob alive. Audiences aren’t shown why Ben keeps Jacob alive.

Jeffrey is homicidal, and Jane is also loyal to Faceless with her cunning, deceptive ways. Fisherman has a godlike personality and keeps his motives hidden, although its apparent he’s got an interest in the story’s heroes. As for Jacob, he’s decided he will make it on his own, and he’s not backing down.

Episode 0: Prologue is now available on YouTube, and Episode 1: Part 1 was recently released.

Rebirth has received high reviews since its launch. NZ Film Freak said, “Rebirth is a short and snappy creepy horror, with great sound effects and editing. The feel of this web series reminds me of Slenderman, a point of view computer game where the player has to avoid a faceless creeper in the woods.”

The R.L. Terry ReelView commented, “Gritty and visceral. Non-Human Films’ Rebirth is a new web series that will beg for your attention. Pulling out all the cliche stops, and whatever else comes with AfterEffects templates, the prologue and episode I attempt to draw you in; and they are quite successful.”

Non-Human Films and Stoltz are excited to bring back Jacob, the monsters, and the guardians to cult fiction followers. More information about Rebirth can be found at www.jacobtheseries.com, and information about Non-Human Films is available at https://www.nonhumanfilms.com.
