Playthings, Etc to Feature PieceMaker Factory in a Store System for 3D Toy Printing

PieceMaker Technologies, Inc, the maker of the Factory in a Store^tm, is proud to announce that Playthings, Etc in Butler, PA will be featuring PieceMaker’s pilot design-to-3D Print on-Demand system. The pilot system will be active and available for Playthings, Etc’s customers on July 26th, 2014.

Playthings, Etc is the second pilot installation of the PieceMaker Factory in a Store^tm system. PieceMaker Technologies is the first and only Inventory-On-Demand solution for retail stores. Consumers can pick from an online catalog of virtual products and customize their piece through a touchscreen interface. The instructions are sent to a 3D printer in the store, and in 20 minutes or less, customers will be able to walk out with a one of a kind toy, piece of jewelry, or other gift item.
