Premium weighted blanket brand Weighted Evolution is announcing the launch of the Sensory Dot Blanket – Sensory + Bamboo – to help improve sleep and reduce anxiety. After evaluating the weighted blankets already on the market, Golesh and his partner made the decision to reverse-engineer a weighted blanket to make it more effective. “We increased the quality of the material, reduced the hypoallergenic glass bead pocket size from eight inches to four inches, and took the extra step to lock in the beads with double diamond stitching,” he says. “Then, we increased stitch density to make the blanket more durable, make sure the weight distribution is even, and make the blanket less noisy and more comfortable.”

Additionally, they worked to make the blanket feel cooler, so users can sleep all night under it. “We decided on high-quality bamboo materials, decreased insulation from the industry standard 450 GSM to 200 GSM, and used a higher-quality combination of synthetic and organic cotton as the filling, to dissipate the heat in a better way.” He adds that reducing the insulation is one of the factors that contributes to the blanket’s ability to contour around the user’s body, swaddling the user in evenly-distributed weight and excellent DPS, which stands for Deep Pressure Stimulation, to stay asleep longer.
