SAFE Credit Union to sponsor Sacramento Speakers Series, featuring Alice Waters and Anderson Cooper

SAFE Credit Union has again agreed to sponsor the Sacramento Speakers Series’ upcoming 2014-2015 season. Launching during Sacramento’s Farm to Fork Week, the series will open with food pioneer Alice Waters speaking Sept. 23, 2014. The superstar lineup continues with former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, world renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, television journalist Anderson Cooper, long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, and New York Times Columnist David Brooks. SAFE Credit Union will be recognized Oct. 28 at the Robert M. Gates event.

Sacramento Speaker Series Managing Principal and Attorney Mitchell Ostwald is proud of the partnership with SAFE. “SAFE is a valuable and affordable cooperative financial resource for families and businesses in Sacramento and surrounding counties,” Ostwald said. “We are especially proud to be allied with such a valued community member, one that provides funding to scholarships for local high school students, to the Aerospace Museum of California, and to local public television programming of interest to us in the Valley, among many philanthropic and volunteer efforts.”
