Sexiest Artist Alive Javier Gomez Signs Second Licensed Photography Deal With Luxury Brand BVLGARI

Company’s new property exclusive lookbook features acclaimed work from Roman architecture from Panamanian photographer living in New York City

Photographer, artist and designer Javier Gomez releases his second licensed photography deal with italian luxury goods brand BVLGARI. For the second year in a row the Italian brand BVLGARI also known in North America as BULGARI commissioned Gomez to capture a collection of photograph for his look book taken at the Cathedral of Monza on the outskirts of Milan where the brand call Gomez “The Light Catcher”.

After being the artist chosen by BVLGARI last year for the look book where the brand celebrates their 130th anniversary, giving a tribute to Rome with photographs and designs by Gomez, he photographed his second project with the brand which were recently release in Life in BVLGARI lifestyle book – only available in BLVGARI properties and hotels worldwide.

Gomez traveled to Monza to document details of their 6th century cathedral — with visual patterns he refers to as “sacred geometry”— in his unique, abstract style for BLVGARI.

“My time in Monza working on this project was incredible,” said Gomez, “being surrounded day and night by architecture and some of the most beautiful antiques in the world was an incredible experience. Deciding what to photograph, when everything you see has a profound meaning it was a challenge.”

The collection includes photography of a wide range of topics including artifacts, architecture, monuments and sculptures. The common theme between photos is repetition that creates a surreal sense of flow and movement.

A native of Panama, Gómez studied photography at New York University and Cooper Union College for the Advancement of Science and Art, and now resides in New York City. He is internationally known as much for his skill as an artist and interior designer. A line of luxury linens but nevertheless a accesiible price and a line of rugs developed will be released this spring.

Other companies that have commissioned Gomez include Fendi Casa, Cassina, and Jamie Drake interior.

A rising star in the global community of art and design Gomez was named by Maison & Objet Americas as one of their talents and ambassadors of the 2016 America. It has also been named “Sexiest Artist Alive” by People magazine in the United States of America.
