The Boston REAL25 Announced in Time for July 4th

Industry: Health & Fitness

Washington, DC (PRUnderground) June 28th, 2016

As part of its efforts to help decrease diet-related disease, the United States Healthful Food Council (USHFC) released a list of Boston’s 25 most healthful and environmentally sustainable restaurants. Also known as the Boston REAL25, the initiative is part of the Responsible Epicurean and Agricultural Leadership (REAL) program, and is aimed at making it easier for consumers to make better choices when dining away from home.  Announced in time for the Independence Day holiday weekend, the USHFC has teamed up with Tasteful App to make finding good quality food easier, for tourists and locals alike.

“Boston has some of the most restaurants per capita in the US, but finding better-for-you options is not as easy as it should be,” said Lawrence Williams, CEO of the United States Healthful Food Council.  “Our goal is to transform the food environment by helping direct consumers to those businesses that make the healthy choice, the easy choice.”
