The MyCEO Corporation Closes Multi-Year Partnership with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity

Industry: Technology

Dallas, Texas (PRUnderground) May 10th, 2016

The MyCEO Corporation, a global provider of education, IT and managed business services, has signed a three-year partnership with the world’s largest Greek fraternity, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., to improve its branding, IT and marketing across nearly 1,000 locations worldwide.

As part of its digital strategy, the MyCEO Corporation will redesign all Omega Psi Phi chapter websites and develop a marketing platform for corporations to reach the 120,000 members of Omega Psi Phi and college-educated and professional men around the country. All of the organization’s chapter websites will move to a standard format, easy-to-navigate design with a strong visual appeal. Omega Psi Phi’s branding initiative is intended to provide the fraternity with consistent and improved messaging, thus helping it reclaim and retain membership.

“The Omega Psi Phi contract is major for MyCEO as it pushes us a step closer to the much anticipated IPO announcement,” said Malcolm Allen, founder and CEO, MyCEO Global. “The vision of the fraternity’s leadership team will help change how companies view the $1.3 trillion that African-Americans spend, and in particular the buying power of African-American males. It also affirms the trust and capacity of MyCEO to scale multi-location integrations.”

Antonio F. Knox, the fraternity’s 40th Grand Basileus, said, “For over 100 years, Omega Psi Phi has been at the forefront in exploring innovative ways to drive strategic partnership return on value, thus offering ways to ensure a mutual partnership return to both our members globally and those who support the organization.”

MyCEO will work with the fraternity to develop a range of digital marketing tools to promote the fraternity’s undergraduate and graduate affiliated chapters work. MyCEO also will help Omega Psi Phi generate new revenue streams by unifying technology systems (e.g. email servers, web servers), aggressively monitoring and analyzing the systems’ performances, and in the long run, improving its members’ interactions and internal communications.

Knox said MyCEO was chosen after a rigorous request for proposal process, which saw participation from some of the top global companies. Knox added that African-Americans spend 18 percent of their money on retail goods annually. However, the $2 billion spent annually by companies in advertising dollars towards African-Americans is a far cry from the $75 billion total annual figure. “Allowing our brand of highly affluent educated black males to be viewed in a way that allows us to tell our combined community efforts, as well as our buying power, was just a natural overall fix,” he said. “We are excited and look forward to having these companies join our partnership strategy.
