Boca Raton, FL (PRUnderground) September 3rd, 2019

Today, TheaterEars announced that its CEO Dan Mangru will speak at the upcoming IBC 2019 this September 16.  The conference, billed as the world’s most influential media, entertainment, and technology show, will be held from September 13-17 at the RAI Amsterdam.  The theme of this year’s conference is Consumers First: A New Era in Media.

Mangru will be speaking on a panel titled, “The Audience Experience: Advances in screen & assistive device technology, in association with SMPTE”.  The panel will discuss the state of cinema and technology and how that is working together to make cinema more inclusive.

“The IBC is a world class show and I’m truly honored that they’ve recognized what we’ve done here at TheaterEars and invited us to come and share our experience in the industry,” said Mangru.

TheaterEars has made significant progress in the movie & entertainment industry. The TheaterEars app empowers users to listen to a movie’s audio soundtrack in a different language with just their smartphone and a pair of earbuds, synchronized perfectly with the action on the big screen.

Most major movies are released on TheaterEars including Avengers: Endgame, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and many more.

To date, TheaterEars has launched in the United States and Puerto Rico with almost half a million registered users.

“The success and the growth that we’ve had at TheaterEars is attributable to the power of cinema and the human desire to connect with each other.  There are millions of people here at home that have wanted to experience the movies but preferred not to because of language.  That makes a perfect recipe for what we do,” said Mangru.

Speaking with Dan Mangru on the panel at IBC 2019 will be Des Carey, Head of Cinematic Innovation – Samsung North America, and Dominic Glynn, Senior Scientist at Pixar.

IBC 2019 will chart the challenges, assess the business and technological opportunities for future generations of the industry, and cement its position as the industry’s most authoritative and stimulating media, entertainment and technology event.
