TimeSheet Reporter is known for creating a wonderful way to track time within Microsoft Outlook. This unique tool was initially created for Outlook for Windows, but newer versions are now available that also supports Outlook for Mac and Outlook for Web. The tool helps employees get the most out of MS Outlook as a calendar system, be more productive, and plan their activities more effectively.

The Growing Importance of Tracking Time in Outlook

Many organizations use Microsoft Outlook as their calendar – it can be utilized by employees and supervisors alike to stay on track and meet milestones with ease. But as great a calendar as it is, Outlook has its flaws.

“The time reporting features within Outlook are quite limited,” says Thomas Testmann, spokesperson for TimeSheet Reporter. “If you want to learn, for instance, the amount of time you or your team spends on a specific project, or compare time spent on different projects, Outlook alone won’t let you do that. You need a solution that not only reviews team performance on different projects but also allows you to improve the estimation techniques for time-sensitive tasks.”

Outlook does offer some limited reporting options, such as a duration feature, but these tend to be of little use ultimately. For instance, the data collected via the duration feature is difficult to analyze because Outlook cannot make direct calculations on it. Options like Excel and VBA programming are there, but these are time-consuming and difficult.

The optimal solution, then, is to consider an add-in tool like TimeSheet Reporter. “TimeSheet Reporter gives you easy-to-analyze overviews of time spent on different activities. These reports can be viewed by users and administrators alike, allowing them to get an overview of their productivity,” says Thomas Testmann. “Supervisors and project managers can also use the administration module to approve time entries for their team members.”

You Can Now Use TimeSheet Reporter for Outlook for Mac and Web – In Addition to Windows

TimeSheet Reporter already has a version of their time tracking tool, which works as an add-in to Outlook on Windows.

This version has gained popularity rather quickly – it is user-friendly, fast, and don’t affect the way employees already used Outlook. “We have seen how positive a response our tool has been generating in the market, so we knew we had to release new versions for Outlook on Mac and Web as well,” Thomas Testmann further explains. “We also don’t want to isolate an entire segment of our target market; people who use Outlook for Mac or Web instead of Windows.”

Organizations that use TimeSheet Reporter can potentially save hours of productive time per employee each month, and now they can do so on Outlook for Mac and Web as well as Outlook for Windows!
