The city of Bath is known by many for its relaxing Bath Spa breaks. It’s an ideal location to enjoy some pampering, revitalising spa treatments with Bailbrook Lodge.

This historical Spa city has been designated a UNESCO world heritage site because of its rich and diverse historical influences. From the ancient Roman Baths, which first capitalised on the Bath springs, the warmest geothermal springs in the UK, to the later Georgian period architecture that is found throughout the city, Bath is a grand and beautiful setting, perfect for a weekend retreat or a week-long holiday.

Bath’s vibrant culture draws in yet more people. Festivals celebrating art, music, dance, literature, theatre and much, much more take place throughout the year, and even the winter months still offer many interesting and diverse cultural events. The annual ‘Bath Young Musician of the Year’ competition is an excellent example, and takes place at the Grand Pump Room on the 8th of November. This is the grand finale of the competition and sees the five finalists compete for the prestigious musical accolade, together, they represent some of the country’s most talented young classical musicians.

An amazing photography exhibition is being held throughout the whole of November by award-winning fine art and advertising photographer Peter Dazeley at the Royal Photographic Society in Fenton House. The exhibition shows a collection of Dazeley’s on-going journey of discovery, experimenting with different processes, lenses and techniques, photographing people and things that he finds visually stimulating. Admission is free for visitors to this wonderful exhibition.

Next, another notable music event, and a must if you are a fan of classical music, is this year’s Bath Mozart festival, the Bath Mozartfest, which takes place from the 11th to the 19th of November. The Bath Mozartfest is organised annually by the A M Purnell Charitable Trust and is a nine day musical celebration of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Each day of the festival, there will be concerts taking place around the city at various venues and locations. The Bath Mozartfest is bound to be a hit for anyone who appreciates the works by such an extremely talented classical composer, and you’ll be able to enjoy live concerts at some of the best venues in Bath.

If you are planning to visit the city of Bath and you are looking to take in some of these events, make sure you book your tickets soon as they should be very popular.
