It’s just a few steps to the pool from almost anywhere in the Coronado.
You can get there from the family room, owners’ bath, and guest suite, as well as from the entry hall. Even the stairs from the second level bedrooms lead directly down to triple sliding doors that open onto the patio.
The balcony at the top of the stairs also overlooks the family room and pool area. Upper bedrooms share a bathroom that has a pocket door between compartments, allowing privacy for two people at once. The arched window in the front bedroom forms an alcove, ideal for a desk or window seat. The back bedroom has a built-in desk. Items dropped down a chute in the large linen closet at the top of the stairs land on the washing machine in the utility room below.
In the kitchen, a U-shaped counter nestles into its own bay. A large window brightens the nook. Other features include: an eating bar, walk-in pantry, built-in oven, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher. A pocket door provides full separation between the dining room and kitchen.
Sliding glass doors in the dining room open onto a screened porch, for outdoor dining. The living room is huge, and this quiet zone also serves as a buffer between the active family living areas and the secluded owners’ suite.
The owners’ suite boasts a huge walk-in closet and direct pool access, handy for showering after swimming. Bathroom features include an enclosed toilet, dual lavs and a spa tub alcove brightened by glass blocks.
The stand-alone guest suite on the opposite side of the Coronado’s pool also has direct pool access, plus a wide window view. It could also be a home office.
