Best Buy Sponsors Blacks in Technology $25K for their Inaugural Conference

St. Paul, MN (PRUnderground) September 19th, 2018

Blacks In Technology (BIT) is proud to announce Best Buy as a sponsor for their upcoming inaugural conference this fall. BITCON, set to take place during October 11-13, 2018 in Twin Cities, MN, is a 3-day interactive platform for black professionals, students, and entrepreneurs to network, enhance their business acumen, and increase their expertise in the tech industry. Utilizing forums such as a tech exhibit, career fair, pitch competition, networking parties, workshops, and panel discussions, BIT has crafted a stimulating and engaging program that intertwines and encompasses the Twin Cities educational, business, political and tech communities.

Best Buy will host Day 3 of BITCON at their headquarters in Richfield, MN. Day 3, also referred to as the “meat and potatoes” of the conference will focus on over 20 professional development sessions across BITCONs 5 Tracks including topics around A.I., blockchain, sportstech, engineering, web design, mixed reality, career development, and more!

With approximately 125,000 employees in North America and job opportunities and exciting careers throughout the US, it’s a natural partnership considering Best Buy’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

“At Best Buy, we’re constantly striving to foster diversity within our organization, and in the communities where we work and live,” said Howard Rankin, Best Buy Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. “We are honored to support Blacks in Technology and to have this opportunity to sponsor the inaugural BITCON conference this fall.”
