CAAFD Approved Designers Showcased During New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 Received Admirable Reviews

New York fashion week showcased global designers for Fall / Winter 2019

New York (PRUnderground) February 13th, 2019

/BFDPR/ CAAFD (The Council of Aspiring American Fashion Designers) staged its world-class of emerging designers during New York Fashion Week with a lineup of talented designers from around the globe. CAAFD approved designers including RC Caylan, Imogen Evans, Viktória Tisza, Tom Foolery, Sania Maskatiya, Hakuyo Miya and Ruth Zabetta were among some of the top designers showcased this season. Various designers unveiled their new collections from February 8th through the 12th, 2019 at Pier 59 studios and Industria, the two highly demanding top fashion showcase platforms.

Tom Foolery showcased cocktail jumpsuits/dress that exhibit class and elegance. Her designs received raving reviews from the audience, easy comfortable wear for working and outgoing women.  Shannon Ashford is the founder, designer, and creator of  Tom Foolery. Her goal is to not only create visually appealing garments but to maintain integrity in the production process. RC Caylan showcase received with admiration. He presented evening gowns, putting more emphasis on the concept of a woman with confidence, utilizing bold and bright colors making every piece a one of a kind, giving inspiration from the female physique and glamour. RC Caylan was Born in Iligan City and raised in Batangas City in the Philippines and later migrating to the United States in 2012 after graduating in fashion design at the GRCC School of Fashion And Interior Design. Viktoria Tisza designs showcased her work with new technologies using molded pieces of silicone rubber, a versatile material that supports her sci-fi ambiance concepts incorporating various pattern, colors, and designs that accentuate the body. Viktoria Tisza is a Hungarian fashion designer designed on-stage bodysuits and dresses for Beyoncé and her dancers for her 2015 World Tour. Her designs have already been featured in British Vogue, Vogue China, Vogue Italia, Glamour UK and in almost all significant Hungarian fashion magazines. Sania Maskatiya showcased as a CAAFD approved returning designer also receiving raving audience reviews among other designers. Her designs are marked by their ornate and regal inspirations, which masterfully highlight feminine silhouettes. The designs are inspired by the beauty of nature and the environment while still being modern and classic. The collection exhibits high luxe fabrics cut and draped in a luxurious design. The brand is known for including rich textiles, fabric design and embroidery within their pieces. The design house engages in some of the best craftsmanship in Pakistan, coming from generations of artisans who have specialized and perfected their craft. Sania Maskatiya has quickly become Pakistan’s most lauded designer and most prized fashion export and has thrilled New York City with a previous CAAFD showcase. Hakuyo Miya designer of Mouton Blanc showcased fantasy style elements, fiery designs combining color, texture, and culture into beautiful and edgy elegant pieces. His designs are known for the innovative lines and cuts as well as having an aspect of modernism throughout the collections. The Japanese designer studied at the Atelier Chardon Savard in Paris. iMi by Imogen Evans showcase was received with a raised eyebrow and mixed reactions. She created wearable art, yet alternative clothing. Her designs are thought-provoking and bizarre, sending messages that comfort the abused. Imogen Evans was born in London, moved to Edinburgh as a child and studied Fashion Design in Milan. Ruth Zabetta showcased evening wear, cocktail dresses and elegant gowns with a bold, confident woman in mind. The collection exhibits feminism, modern lines, and unique cuts, creating beautiful silhouettes consistently through all the pieces. Zabetta’s collection is created for the modern but feminine woman and inspired by years of culture and design. Designer Ruth Zabetta was raised in both Spain and the Dominican Republic giving her a unique cultural background for her beautiful collection.
