Citadel International Film Festival (CIFF) is a prestigious annual virtual film festival celebrating diversity in film, offering various categories competitions that aim to celebrate winners’ achievements through its accredited renowned platform. The festival helps in promoting their winners and in helping to bring distribution deals to them!
CIFF is an official affiliate to the Academy (OSCARS) qualifying film festival Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF), in which CIFF offers two academy qualifying finalists awards: Best Short Narrative Award (Citadel) and Best Short Narrative Women Content Related Award (Petra), winners of these two awards will become automatically finalists at the academy qualifying short narrative awards at Bengaluru International Short Film Festival for the same entry year, aside of other film related categories.
The festival is headed by an acclaimed award winning filmmaker “Sandra Kawar” who is the Founder-President of CIFF. Sandra stated “We are delighted with this affiliation that aims to help in opening a gate to talented filmmakers across the globe, and to celebrate creativity. We are also focusing on women content driven films that focus on women challenges and in spreading women voices across the globe through creative forms.”
The Festival's Co-Founder and Technical Advisor Melad Moffaq stated " We are happy to be using latest technologies within our festival and to make sure that our selected films and winners ger the proper virtual presence for their promotionsl outlets."
