DIYguru in India launches placement guaranteed Electric Vehicle course for Engineers

DIYguru, India’s Maker’s Learning Platform announced today that it is soon going to launch it’s 9 months Electric Vehicle Master’s Programme to help Engineering / ITI and Diploma students get ready with the Industrial skills required by E-Mobility Sector.

This update came after the govt. announced that the blueprint for creation of 10 million Jobs in E-Mobility sector is ready and asked it’s stakeholders ASDC and Skill India to come up with suitable syllabus. As per the news report, Kolkata-based Central Staff Training and Research Institute is in the process of preparing the programme curriculum for electric vehicle technicians, while, the Power Sector Skill Council is framing four occupational standards for supervisors, technician and helpers who will be trained exclusively for maintaining e-vehicles.

In a statement released by the company founder Avinash Singh. “DIYguru has been providing short-term online courses to automotive enthusiasts and professionals from last one and half year and we have seen a tremendous response from the users about the quality and opportunity they are being offered after course complettion. The courses we have right now is 32 Days i.e. 30 days of online course followed by 2 Days of offline workshop at maker’s spaces across the country. Now our users are exploring for advanced topics be it Motor Controller Design, or Battery Management System or powertrain assembly. This is the time where we have collaborated with Industry experts to come up with more indepth and hand’s on training programmes in this field.

Almost half of DIYguru revenue comes from it’s corporate training programmes, with Robert Bosch being it’s major client.

The company is still to disclose it’s venue for Master’s programme but most probably it will be in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad or Hubli. The course is going to benefit a large segment of unemployed youths from Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics field who are looking after core engineering jobs rather that IT jobs which has taken up 70% of the job industry in India.
