A successful career in therapy began at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Political Science/Pre-law. She was awarded a Political Internship in Washington, DC under U.S. Congressman Paul Rogers. She continued to receive her first Master’s Degree in Couseling Education and her second in Sexual Counseling at the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. She then continued with post-graduate work in Guidance and Counseling at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. Dr. Crist received her Ph.D. completing a 5-year Doctoral Program in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Clinical Track Accredited AAMFT Program, and completed her dissertation on the “Attitudinal Differences Toward Love Among Married, Divorced and Remarried Adults.” An astute student, Dr. Crist then continued with post-doctoral additional training at Harvard Medical School, in the School of Psychiatry.

To keep abreast of the latest developments in her field, Dr. Crist keeps professional memberships with the Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, The Mental Health Counselors Association of Palm Beach County, and is a member of the Omicron Nu (Honor Society). She is a speaker and member of several societies and charities including Faulk Center for Counseling, Board Member (2015-2019), Cystic Fibrosis Charities, Muscular Dystrophy Association Charities Fundraiser, Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Professional Women, Inner Circle; Women of Ecommerce, Women for Excellence, Women Referring Women, The Association of Professional Businesswomen, Inspiration University, South Palm Beach Country Bar Associaltion, and the National Association of Divorced Professionals.
