Ecotech Visions Sustainable & Affordable Home Project in Miami Gardens Florida to Address the Housing Crisis

As a pioneer in the shared workspace market, Ecotech Visions stands out amongst the competition by providing local start-ups with access to a creator’s space that hosts the technology and machinery needed for eco-friendly product development and supply chain management. Ecotech Visions is not only changing how start-ups use shared office space and workspace solutions in Miami, they are building sustainable and environmental friendly structures in the city as well.

In efforts to make the City of Miami Gardens more “green”, the co-working organization partnered with Build Everyday Better, an eco-friendly container home developer, to build the first of approximately 25 affordable and environmentally friendly homes in the City of Miami Gardens.  Two more homes are slated to be completed the end of 2019 with the remainder of the project to be built across 2020.  These sustainable homes have been made possible through a partnership with Miami Dade County and the support of Commissioner Barbara Jordan’s office who will be attending the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony September 30, 2019 from 10-11am at 2481 NW 152 st Miami Gardens, FL 33054.

The green focused co-working organization sets no limits to the eco-friendly progression of the city of Miami Gardens. The environmental home project seeks to change the landscape of home development and affordability in the city and will be built out of recycled shipping containers. The home size will measure at approximately 1,200 sq/ft and will contain 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The home’s selling price will be set at $205,000.  Homes can be constructed in less that 90 days making container building a cost effective, modern and efficient way to combat the housing crisis facing Miami Dade County.

“The affordable housing issue is connected to many other issues here in South Florida from employment to education. This partnership will allow us to begin to make a meaningful impact on addressing these issues and provide a possible framework for larger development opportunities”, says Nathaniel Crawford, Founder of Build Everyday Better. EcoTech Visions believes addressing sustainability and environmental wellness will also address other unmet issues within the city overtime.

“Spearheading eco-friendly solutions is what Ecotech Visions is known for.  Our partnered projects create a multitude of opportunities that help to progress our city as a whole. As we revitalize the city and it’s building structures, we must keep sustainability, our planet and the community at the forefront of future plans and decisions.” Founder of EcoTech Visions Dr. Pandwe Gibson.
