HITLAB Breakthrough Alliance Seeks Digital Health Solutions Addressing Gaps in Mental Health and Wellness in Wake of COVID Pandemic

Industry: Healthcare

Selected startups will have their technologies tested in pilot studies with clinical partners and patients, gathering the data needed to accelerate their concepts.

New York, NY (PRUnderground) February 2nd, 2021

The HITLAB Breakthrough Alliance is holding a Spring 2021 ‘Call for Applications’ to identify promising digital health solutions in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The global consortium seeks to identify digital health solutions addressing gaps in mental health and wellness.

In the midst the largest health crisis the world has faced in decades, the COVID-19 pandemic has revealed gaps and inefficiencies in healthcare systems. One of the biggest gaps discovered is associated with diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health. As the effort to destigmatize conditions related to this therapeutic area continues, there is a clear and urgent need for it to be prioritized. While digital health technologies such as Calm, Headspace, and Click Therapeutics are already demonstrating progress, this sector still demands substantial innovation in order to meet the growing need of a society stricken with pandemic-driven anxiety and depression.

Innovators are encouraged to submit a twitter-sized pitch of their digital health solutions to be considered. Qualified digital health solutions will be contacted to provide additional information. Click here to apply now.

Examples of Digital Health solutions to be considered include, but are not limited to:

•          Telehealth Platforms
•          Virtual Patient Monitoring Solutions
•          Chatbots
•          Wearables
•          AI-Based Diagnostics
•          App-Based Support Groups or Communities
•          Big Data/Cloud-Based Solutions
•          Genomics and Computational Biology Systems

Innovator applications will be accepted through March 7th and up to three solutions will be selected in June to be evaluated in rapid-cycle studies with end-users, providing key validation data and actionable insights on design, feasibility, and market potential. There is zero cost to apply, zero cost to participate, and zero equity by HITLAB. Interested innovators and start-ups should apply today.
