Jad Mawlawi, co-founder and CEO at influencer marketing firm Dooply, was recently featured on IdeaMensch. Mawlawi is a cutting-edge, London-based innovator in the field of marketing who believes that businesses grow best when propelled by an ethical vision and meaningful human interactions. Mawlawi shared marketing tips, productivity habits, stories from his own international background, and predictions for the future of marketing on the entrepreneur-focused interview platform IdeaMensch.
Jad Mawlawi’s interview includes a brief discussion of his career’s beginnings in his native country of Lebanon. Mawlawi worked in finance in Beirut, managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of financial assets. With the Syrian conflict escalating and Lebanon’s political and economic climate becoming increasingly unstable, Mawlawi moved to London, earning his B.A. in Business at the American International University. While in London, he worked for a U.S. oil and gas technology company Technosoft, developing its business in the Middle East and North Africa.
Today, Mawlawi is building his London-based influencer marketing company, drawing on both his rich business leadership experience as well as lessons learned through personal challenges. The death of his brother when Mawlawi was just 17 led Mawlawi to a period of deep internal struggle and contemplation. Turning to the ideals of peace and tolerance and building connections with fellow human beings helped Mawlawi move forward, in spite of adversity.
In the IdeaMensch interview, Mawlawi explained that technology is not enough to give a company the edge it needs in our economy of progressively declining margins. Jad Mawlawi said that truly successful organizations must distinguish themselves by making person-to-person connections and spreading their message through human endorsements.
“I am fascinated by the fact that no matter how technologically sophisticated we become, we will still be humans and the fundamentals stay the same. Today, human interaction and social networking are in the heart of marketing,” said Mawlawi.
Mawlawi believes adaptability also plays a profound role in business success and that his company, Dooply, helps people embrace flexibility.
“The overall vision is [to] adapt continuously to these changes and always strive to optimize our clients’ marketing strategies. Our dynamic and agile business model allows us to formulate and implement unconventional marketing strategies tailored to our clients’ needs,” said Mawlawi.
