Iris, a multifaceted artist from New Zealand in LA, releases the latest single “Escapade”

The multifaceted artist from a small town in New Zealand, Iris is ready to step into the music industry with a bang! This Napier native moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her dream of becoming a successful actor and musician. Apart from singing and acting, Iris has been an exceptional songwriter which made her win the New Zealand Peace Song Competition. This award made her realize that she is made for greater things in life, which she can only achieve once she movies out of her small town. With big dreams in her eyes, and hopes in her heart, this young artist turned down a contract from Universal Music New Zealand and moved to Los Angeles to establish her name as an independent artist.

Lucky for her, she met a man named Charles Lutman in LA who thoroughly supported her musical career. He produces her music and most often, they both direct their music videos together. “He taught me how to edit music videos, and thanks to him believing in me, I am currently living in Los Angeles working every moment on my dreams”, adds Iris.

Iris has been in love with music ever since she was a little girl. This is partly because she belongs to a musical family, where her father was a rock band singer and a record store owner. She grew up listening to classics, including The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, but her music taste changed with time. She started listening to Rihanna and Ariana Grande, which helped her to shape her music. This 21 years old talented artist has experimented with different music styles and has come up with a unique sound of her own.

Iris has released 22 songs to date, along with multiple music videos. Her latest release is the single “Escapade”. This track was released on March 27, 2021, and has received massive reception from fans across the globe. “Escapade” is a beautiful song with upbeat music. It is an escapade for the listeners in the true sense. This track is quickly making its way to the top of people’s playlists. Be it a house party with friends, or party scenes in the club, a walk by the beach, or a long drive with your lover- this song has got every occasion covered!

Iris likes to describe her music style as Dance pop and ballad. Telling about her upcoming projects, Iris says, “I am working on my next album – a dance pop/ballad infused album called Art After Dark. I am also on a weekly schedule performing live stream DIY concerts on Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube etc. Simultaneously I am using this livestream approach as preparation for a virtual concert where I will perform all of my original songs.”

Iris has reached a growing fan base of over 600k followers across social platforms. With her hard work, dedication, and passion, Iris is rapidly paving her way through the music industry.
