Turlock, CA (PRUnderground) September 25th, 2018

Former City Council candidate, Logan Sisco, recently announced his support for Nicole Larson, opposing candidate for District 1 in the upcoming November 2018 election.  Sisco, current Waterford charter school employee, filed his Candidate Intention Statement with the Turlock City Clerk’s office in May and had been actively campaigning through social media, door-knocking, and campaign events until his September 14 social media announcement.

Sisco was recently quoted in a Turlock Journal interview regarding his campaign as saying, “I see a lot of greatness in Turlock, but there are ways Turlock could be better.” Now, four months later, Sisco has decided to take on a different role in this election.

“When I announced my candidacy, I had one simple goal, win or lose, I wanted to bring attention to the causes that are important to me and do my part to make Turlock a better place to live. Today, that goal remains the same, but the way I’m doing that is changing,” explained Sisco in an announcement video from the Sisco campaign Facebook page. “I’m choosing to take a step back, and suspend my campaign. Today I am endorsing the candidate who cares just as deeply for our community as I do, and who can join with anyone to get the work of government done. That candidate is Nicole Larson.” Announced Sisco.

“It is an absolute honor to be endorsed by a fellow candidate in this competitive race.” Larson said in reference to Sisco’s endorsement. “We meet like all candidates do–in meetings and community events. When Logan told me he wanted to support me based on experience, energy, and vision for Turlock, I was humbled and grateful that another candidate recognized the sincerity of my hard work. This endorsement comes from someone who was in the trenches like all of us candidates are, and who understands the importance of this council seat for Turlock’s future.”

Nicole Larson’s platform is based on the momentum of Turlock and recognizes the challenges facing the growing city. If elected, she plans to address public safety resources, infrastructure quality, and the need for economic stability.

“We are at a pivotal point in our city’s narrative, dancing the line between our historic agricultural roots and urban growth,” stated Larson, “So this next group of elected officials are going to be making monumental decisions that will not only be felt for the next four years but the next 50 plus.”

Born and raised in Turlock, California, Nicole Larson graduated magna cum laude from Turlock’s own Stanislaus State University. She also served as the elected executive officer of a nonprofit organization from 2015 to 2017 where she oversaw the budgeting and allocation of $1.2 million. Larson is currently in her 3rd term as a commissioner on the Turlock Parks, Arts and Recreation Commission and is presently serving as Vice-Chair.

Sisco hopes voters will join him with his support for Larson. “Nicole’s forward thinking and commitment to looking beyond her term is what truly makes her the candidate to support.”

Voters will decide who their representatives will be on or before November 6th in the 2018 midterm election. Learn more about Larson at larsonforturlock.com or on Facebook @larsonforturlock.
