Artist Lucy Pratt was surprised and delighted to find she had been featured on Google’s launch of the Google Open Gallery. Google recently unveiled this new cultural tool enabling artists, museums, archives and galleries to create online exhibitions.
‘I had no idea I was going to be on the launch page. Fosse Gallery had kindly put my work on their Open Gallery page and they worked closely with Google in the lead up to the launch, but I don’t think even they knew that my work would be one of the first images on the launch page. I feel very flattered!’
Lucy is an established artist having exhibited worldwide, including the Royal Academy, and has held solo exhibitions at Fosse Gallery, Ainscough Contemporary Art, London and Adamson, Miller, Boone, Atlanta, USA, amongst others. Her next exhibition in February 2014 is at Clarendon Fine Art in London. Her work is held in many public and private collections throughout the world.
Lucy’s work is varied and vibrant. Paintings shown on the Google launch include seascapes, landscapes and a busy chef’s kitchen, all atmospherically displayed with bold, joyous colour.
