NYC’s The Peoples Improv Theater Launches New Home for Renowned Super Free Wednesday Show and More!

Twitch.tv/thepitnyc is the place to (virtually) be on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30pm (EST). Kicking off a total of 3.5 hours of free-to-watch improvisational comedy is a new PIT indie team
every Wednesday comprised of students around the world from various PIT classes. Each week, members of the PIT indie team have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned in class and apply it to their performance on screen in front of a live audience.

After the fun-filled and suggestion-fueled opener, comes the main event: 7 PIT House Team performances including musical improv by Havisham, a cast full of past and current PIT instructors in Rendezvous, and a brand new PIT House Team, Top Bun! Other PIT House Teams included in the lineup are Squall, Barnaby Thatcher, DBC, and Houseplant.

Following The PIT’s Twitch page allows subscribers to be the first to know about upcoming shows, new shows, and when the account goes live. In addition to Twitch, people can watch Super Free Wednesday live on Facebook and YouTube.

The Peoples Improv Theater is constantly updating and adapting their ways of virtual programming to support creativity, performance, and comedy education. Intro To Twitch TV is a brand new 30-minute class designed to teach the basics of Twitch for only $5. To take live streams to the next level by adding music, graphics, videos, audience polls, and other production elements, The PIT also offers Advanced Twitch TV. Both Twitch classes are led by PIT Instructor and producer, Tom Kalnas.
