One Way Exteriors, a trusted gutter, window, and roofing company serving homeowners throughout Michigan, is proud to announce the promotion of team member Michael Hemmeke to a full-time In-Home Sales Specialist. Hemmeke, who joined the company in September 2025 in a canvassing role, quickly proved himself to be a driven and dedicated member of the team.
From the beginning, Hemmeke showed a strong work ethic and a willingness to grow. What started as a door-to-door canvassing position quickly turned into an opportunity for him to develop his sales skills and become one of the company’s top performers. Through consistent effort and a commitment to improvement, he steadily increased his performance and became a valuable contributor to the company’s growth.
During the winter months, Hemmeke shifted his focus to the phones and quickly earned a reputation within the company as a “phone savage.” He set new internal records for the number of calls made in a single day, the number of appointments booked, and the number of customer reviews generated. His determination and competitive mindset helped push the entire team to a higher level while consistently helping homeowners connect with the services they needed.
Recognizing his dedication and natural ability to connect with customers, One Way Exteriors began training Hemmeke in February for a transition into in-home sales. After successfully completing that training, he officially stepped into the role at the start of this month, where he will now meet directly with homeowners to provide estimates and help them find the right solutions for their roofing and gutter needs.
Owner Colin DeHaan says Hemmeke’s promotion is a great example of what hard work and commitment can accomplish.
