Black Furnace Games, LLC, is pleased to announce the launch of its new standalone card game “Quantum Quest – Fantasy Dungeon Dive with Roguelike Elements” on Kickstarter, as of November 1st. Black Furnace Games is operated by brothers Mike and Matthew DeAnglelo, who want to bring their love of games to the world. Quantum Quest is their first game, a dungeon crawler that never plays the same way twice.
Quantum Quest is already getting plenty of attention for its exciting concept and unique art work. The game is loosely connected to the popular Tellest brand of fantasy books, written by Mike himself. Tellest fans will be happy to learn that some of the characters from the books can actually be recruited into the player parties.
“If we’re successful with this Kickstarter campaign,” says Mike, “You can be sure that more characters are on their way with booster packs and full expansions.”
The concept of the game is that two or more players are challenged to put together teams of adventurers and fight to survive and gain ownership of the dungeon. Sinister traps and monsters lurk in every corner, and survival depends on being able to control the chambers and harm your opponents. What makes the game so unique is that the dungeon crawl is always different because of the variety of cards.
“Actual chance of a repeat game is 1:5.6162E+89. I mean… there’s a chance, but…c’mon,” quips Mike.
Mike and Matthew are working closely with a pre-press specialist at Panda Games to ensure that the final product will be top quality. But in order to fund a premium quality print run, they need to raise $15,000.
Early backers will get great deals and rewards, starting at just $25. To find out more about this exciting project, visit the Quantum Quest website at www.quantumquestgame.com , or Kickstarter.
