As the oldest of six children in a single-parent home, Kelly was looked upon as the head figure of the family at a young age. His sense of duty and responsibility later led him to enlist in the Marine Corps and serve in Vietnam. After the war, he transferred his grit, critical-thinking skills, and focus into the field of electronics.
