RE/MAX ELITE Charity Ride Raised Money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Featuring Ahmed Nashaat

The RE/MAX ELITE Charity Ride to benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles was held in Malibu on Jan. 30. All of the proceeds from the event went to help sick children and their families. Donated money goes to pay for life-saving treatments, medical equipment and valuable research.

The event was sponsored by Soul Cycle Malibu and RE/MAX ELITE. Since 1992, RE/MAX has donated more than $130 million to help sick and injured children through Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Besides fund raising events such as the bike ride, many real estate associates from RE/MAX also donate a portion of their sales to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Ahmed Nashaat, who is soon to graduate with his MBA, took part in the event. He is at a critical juncture in his life where he needs to decide what he would like to do after graduation – he is trying to decide between starting a non-profit agency or a small business. Being involved in events for charity is a good way to help him make this important decision.

The event provided other benefits for Mr. Nashaat as well. “Because it was for the Children’s Hospital, that was great motivation to get in shape for this event,” said Mr. Nashaat. “It was for such a great cause.”

In his quest to find his future career, over the past year Mr. Nashaat has attended a small business expo and many fundraising events: a New Year’s race to benefit A Place Called Home, a “safe haven” for underserved South Central Los Angeles youth; the Bat 4 HOPE Celebrity Softball game to benefit children with cancer; and Generation NEXT, an event where at-risk kids got the chance to show off their talents.
