Although statistics clearly dictate that the transportation industry is dominated by men, Kecia Terrelonge has enjoyed a career in the transportation industry and has decided to launch a company designed to help others get into the field.
Trucking Transportation Academy offers training for veterans, ex-offenders, persons with disabilities, and anyone interested in learning how to make money in the transportation industry. Terrelonge encourages everyone to see what the transportation industry has to offer them. Students learn everything they need to know to launch their own successful trucking transportation business. TTA shows its students that they don’t have to drive a truck to make an income or residual income.

The training from TTA has in-person sites in Louisiana and Virginia, and virtual courses are also available. When students complete their training, they are ready to be entrepreneurs in the logistics industry.
Soon, TTA will also offer a CDL school for those interested in attaining the skills needed to drive their own trucks. According to Terrelonge, there’s no need to get a CDL in order to make excellent income from the logistics side alone, although many trucking transportation business owners do drive for themselves.
This all comes at a time when women like Terrelonge are revolutionizing the trucking industry. As it stands, there are more than 300,000 female truckers in the U.S. and counting. Trucking Transportation Academy is now accepting new students.
