There’s no shortage of people who are tired of a normal, boring life, where next to nothing exciting happens day-after-day. U.S. Veteran and Independent author Frank S. Dillon understands this deeply, having “been there, done that” and broke free to the other side. Dillon shares his experiences and ideas in a unique novel on the way “Afloat”, which takes a cinematic approach to sharing this coming of age or coming to life story. And it’s not to be missed. In exciting news Dillion recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, which is accepting pre-orders of “Afloat”, which is expected to be released in July 2020. The excitement surrounding “Afloat” is skyrocketing.

“Since I was a wee lad I’ve dreamt of being of a writer,” commented the passionate author. “When I decided to enlist in the military, a light bulb went off. I could create a one-of-a-kind, authentic account of my experience. So, I started keeping a journal of my life. Even when I was in bootcamp or out to sea I would scribble my thoughts in my notebook and was even asked a few times by the other Sailors what I was doing… I want to be different and original. This isn’t your standard novel, it’s written like a movie to keep the writer engaged and entertained.”

Dillon expects “Afloat” to be of most interest to millennial’s, sailors, future sailors, people who are thinking about joining the navy or military, Veterans, Navy moms and navy wives. He pulls no punches and tells all which makes for both an eye-opening and exciting read, that make the book quite difficult to put down. The book is also likely to be a bit controversial, with the cover art of a sailor with a black eye a testament to Dillon’s rebellious nature.
