VanLab USA Launches First-Ever Flat Pack Designed Furniture for Van Conversions

VanLab USA, the first-of-its-kind van-life flat pack design company that provides travelers with the ultimate furniture needed to live out of a van, announced their first flat pack designs are officially available for summer 2021.

Designed to help van-lifers to maximize space and functionality inside of the moving van, the VanLab Kit is the only kit of its kind available in the U.S. today.

“Every VanLab kit comes in a modern Scandinavian design to hold everything a person will need when traveling in a van, cleverly tucked away in a dedicated location so there is still space to move around,” said Ian Fitzhenry, Director of VanLab USA. “We’ve designed the bench heights to provide an ergonomic kitchen layout that is accessible from inside of the van, as well as from the rear.”

All VanLab Kits include kitchen cupboards, storage cabinets, seating and bed. A wiring loom is available, too, considering lots of van-lifers are managing businesses and other entities from the van, on the road. The woodwork panels are made from high quality and sustainable Baltic Birch plywood. The panels are designed to fit like a jigsaw within the framework, so that they can be inserted into the van with ease.

“We want everyone to be able to see the world from their van, which is why we’ve made our van kits to be easy to use, and even easier to set up. Absolutely anyone can build this at home following our step-by-step manual,” said Fitzhenry. “All of the needed items, from instructions to screws, are included inside of the kit. All that’s left is the fun customization element we leave up to every consumer.”

The VanLab Kit is presently available in size Small for a Nissan NV 200 or Chevy City Express and in size Large for a Ford Transit LWB. The team will be releasing more designs in the coming weeks including a kit for the Mercedes Benz Sprinter SWB.
