Viceco Beauty Products Sold Out Right After Website Launch

Viceco Beauty, an online cosmetics store based in Los Angeles, California released its brand new website on November 29, 2019, which happened to be Black Friday. By the time it was Cyber Monday, 99 percent of its products were already sold out!

According to Mai Benedicto Misa, Viceco Beauty’s co-founder, a few days before their launch, thousands had joined their mailing list to receive discount coupons.  A coupon, which gave a 20% discount would be usable from Black Friday to Cyber Monday.  This was in addition to the free shipping on orders $35 and up to US destinations.

One email subscriber from Canada said, “There aren’t any beauty supply stores near me that sell vice cosmetics.  I would have to ask someone to buy it in the Philippines and bring it to me.”

“We were overwhelmed by the number of sign-ups from US and Canada. By 12:01 midnight on Black Friday, orders started pouring in rapidly!  When Cyber Monday came, shoppers were adding to their wish lists instead of their carts since products were 99% sold out!  I guess our customers were amazed to see how affordable our products were and on top of that they still got 20% off and free shipping!”, said Misa.

Viceco, which was launched and popularized in the Philippines by TV personality Vice Ganda in 2017 decided to go international to showcase its top-notch paraben-free, cruelty-free products that could potentially compete head-on against big players like Kylie Cosmetics and ColourPop.  Their best sellers include the BT21 Universe Eyeshadow Palette, the BT21 Water Gel Lip and Cheek Tint, and the BT21 Phenomenal Velvet Lipstick.
