West Seegmiller Highlighting Sponsorship and Community Service: City of Angels Orphanage

Industry: Advertising & Marketing

West Seegmiller and At LAW MEDIA, INC. all staff and employees are given the opportunity to participate in community service campaigns that are sponsored by our office. Staff members are not compensated for this and it is done entirely on a volunteer basis. William Seegmiller, majority shareholder of Law Media, Inc. announced, “This year, we are highlighting City of Angels Children’s Orphanage as our community service partners as we thank them for allowing us the opportunity to serve as a Sponsor to them, the glowing growing children, and this amazing charitable organization.”

Los Angeles, CA (PRUnderground) September 10th, 2020

City of Angels Orphanage is located outside the city of Tijuana and is home to dozens of children that have become lost or separated from their families. Without a safe home, many of these children face poverty and possible violence and abuse in conditions that threaten their safety and their health. Whether these children were separated through mass migration or just harsh city living, City of Angels Orphanage supports local children, but also takes in migrant children from South and Central America who have been separated from or abandoned by their families, as well.

City of Angels Orphanage provides a stable, loving, family environment for the children that reside there. Because of the size of the orphanage, City of Angels is operated as a family unit, incorporating traditional family structure and economic values to even the youngest of its members. The kids are of various ages and they all have chores that are aimed at the maintenance and up keep of each other and of the home. Over time, bonds begin to grow and the children consider themselves siblings and family, with all of the great fun (and all of the ruckus) that also comes with having a household full of siblings. The children at City of Angels aren’t just being kept off of the streets but are receiving fundamental values and developmental skills, and are able to demonstrate and grow those skills in a pattern of family life where one learns the importance that an individual holds in the overall success of the group dynamic. They aren’t just living and growing up, the kids of City of Angels Orphanage are given the experience of being raised.

The Law Media, Inc.  has had the opportunity to continue our sponsorship of City of Angels Orphanage as they renovate their facilities to offer a more enhanced experience to the children and teens that they serve. Most recently, the Lexton Law Firm has constructed and installed a playground at the orphanage grounds for the children, unveiling the new play area this past summer. Lexton Law Firm has also partnered with City of Angels to build heating and air conditioning systems to their facilities, as well as providing the orphanage with funding to assist with the purchase of adequate bedding and furnishings for the children, new laundry systems, enhanced technology and educational learning equipment, as well as assisted with the purchase of new home and house ware items for the group, along with providing upgraded kitchen and food storage appliances to the charity.

William Seegmiller asked for more help: “Because the orphanage is run entirely from donations and contributions from charitable partners and does not receive funding from the Mexican government, we would like to welcome others to join us in our pursuit of extending service to our neighbors,  and showing love by giving the gift of dignity to the others. By directly providing for the needs of our neighbors who may not be able to adequately provide for themselves, we foster a relationship of love and a work of goodness not just for the orphanage, but for ourselves.”
