You Really Can’t Go Home Again: The Incubus and The Others by Trent St. Germain

Industry: Books

Book One in author Trent St. Germain’s Ten Point series arrives July 28, 2016

San Diego, CA (PRUnderground) August 16th, 2016

A demon, vampires, and a dysfunctional north Louisiana family—all under one roof.

Marcus Lanehart, a 36-year-old gay man, is summoned home to Monroe, Louisiana from San Diego for his father’s funeral.  Five years ago he and his sister Flannery were banished from Ten Points, a 197-year-old former cotton plantation that has been in the family for generations.

When Marcus returns to the estate for the funeral, he’s immediately reminded by his older brother Geoffrey of what an outsider he’s become.  Marcus also finds a new man of the house—the demonic Conrad.

On the outside, Conrad is a suave, charming, and extremely handsome man.  But he’s manipulating Geoffrey and the rest of the family members—sometimes sadistically; sometimes sexually.  When Conrad realizes he cannot control Marcus the same way as he does the others, he invades the other man’s dreams as he sleeps.

Meantime, younger sister Flannery, a pariah for her affair with a married U.S. senator, brings home another dark secret—and a surprise link to Conrad.

Conrad’s obsession with Marcus, shady dealings with Geoffrey, and unholy connection to Flannery lead to lust, murder, and the unleashing of the supernatural—the latter of which may have existed inside the great house all along.  Once the true, greedy endgame is revealed, the stage is set for the Lanehart family’s ultimate destruction.

The Incubus and The Others is author Trent St. Germain’s debut novel.  It is book one in a planned series.  St. Germain recently returned to southern California after five years back in north Louisiana.  His past occupations include fill-in news anchor, talk show co-host, television news producer, and certified personal trainer.
