The Global Stem Cells Group, a multi-disciplinary community of scientists and physicians collaborating to treat diseases and lessen human suffering through science, technology, and regenerative medicine, is pleased to announce the opening of the Stem Cells Center in Cochabamba, Bolivia. CEO Benito Novas has invited over 30 Bolivian officials to take part in the inaugural events celebrating the center’s opening, which will take place in Cochabamba on June 8, 2019 at 6:30 pm at the Creatio Parque Fidel Anze in Cochabamba.

Novas noted that the Bolivian center will serve as the 35th Stem Cells Center in the world, strengthening the Global Stem Cells Group’s presence worldwide as they seek to expand research for and the practice of regenerative medicine across the globe.

Dra. Cecilia Vargas, who has spent the last year in intensive training by serving as a Global Stem Cells Group faculty member, will lead the efforts at the Cochabamba clinic. Dra.Vargas has taken part in two stem cells certification workshops, held in Buenos Aires and Miami, and has also served as an intern at the Global Stem Cells Group headquarters in preparation to lead the efforts at the new Bolivian clinic.

The Cochabamba clinic will be the first of its kind outside of the US that will provide a comprehensive range of treatment options for patients suffering from degenerative conditions. Backed by Dra. Vargas and her team’s expertise, patients will have access to life-altering treatments via autologous stem cells, exosomes, and heterologous mesenchymal stem cells derived from umbilical cord blood. The center will feature a storage facility that meets the highest industry standards to be able to store exosomes and MSCs onsite, giving patients and doctors more convenient and faster access to critical treatment options.

As part of the clinic’s opening celebration, the Global Stem Cells Group will be hosting a social at 6:30 pm on June 8, 2019 at Creatio Parque Fidel Anze in Cochabamba. The local medical community is invited to attend.
