ChartRequest Launches a New Referral Management Solution for Healthcare Providers

The HIPAA-compliant software helps prevent costly referral leakage and facilitates closing the loop

Atlanta, GA (PRUnderground) January 12, 2021

ChartRequest is pleased to announce the release of its new referral management software—a HIPAA-compliant application that allows healthcare providers to make, receive, manage, and track patient referrals in a user-friendly dashboard. Equipped with 256-bit SSL encryption, 2048-bit private keys, AES multilayered encryption, and a detailed audit log, the referral management application provides secure, streamlined workflows that promote communication and collaboration between primary care physicians and specialists.

Manual and paper-based referral management systems can be inefficient, contributing to incomplete referrals and referral leakage. “Incomplete referrals can lead to diagnostic error, which causes unnecessary suffering for patients and can result in costly medical malpractice claims. At the same time, referral leakage costs almost 50 percent of healthcare providers the equivalent of 10 percent of their annual revenue,” said Christopher Carter, CEO of ChartRequest. “Our software automates the referral management workflow and provides full visibility of the process, allowing providers to track the status of a referral at a single glance. With the secure file sharing and direct messaging tools, they can easily exchange information and close the loop. And thanks to the solution’s ‘Favorites’ feature, providers can ensure they’re working with preferred referral partners or with partners that are in their healthcare network, which greatly reduces referral leakage.”

ChartRequest will release its referral management solution, which can be used as a stand-alone tool or in conjunction with its contactless medical record fulfillment solution, on January 11th. Subscribing primary care physicians and pediatricians can make up to 50 free referrals per month, while specialists with a subscription can receive up to 10 referrals for free each month.
