Cingari Family Markets Announces Major Expansion of ShopRite of Fairfield

Cingari Family Markets, a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated Connecticut-based supermarket company, today announced plans to expand its ShopRite of Fairfield, located at 1975 Black Rock Turnpike, into the adjacent 13,000-square‑foot space formerly occupied by Party City.

This expansion will deliver a significantly enhanced shopping experience, featuring:

• Additional grocery aisles with expanded dry goods, international specialties and health‑focused products
• A larger bakery offering artisan breads, pastries and custom cakes
• An expanded floral department with a wider selection of fresh flowers and arrangements
• More grab‑and‑go options, including new heat‑and‑serve entrées, salad kits and snack bundles
• A larger international cheese section 
• Additional frozen food and dairy cases to accommodate more frozen entrées, sides, specialty desserts and dairy products.

Construction will begin this fall and is expected to be completed in Spring 2026. The store will remain open throughout the renovation.
