Cingari Family ShopRite Honored with Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce Silver Hammer Award

Cingari Family ShopRite, the family-owned and operated Connecticut-based company, announced today that it is the recipient of the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce Silver Hammer Award. Representatives from the popular grocery market received the recognition at the Greater Valley Chamber’s annual Holiday Breakfast and Awards Celebration that was held this morning at the Brownson Country Club in Shelton.

Each year, the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce presents its Silver Hammer Award to acknowledge local businesses for construction or renovation projects that have made a positive impact on the community. This year, the award honored Cingari Family ShopRite for their newly remodeled ShopRite in Shelton, CT.

"Receiving this prestigious Silver Hammer award is a testament to our unwavering dedication to elevating the shopping experience for our valued guests," remarks Thomas Cingari, Sr., the chain’s president and CEO. "It’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts to evolve and keep up with the growing needs and preferences of our community."

Located at 875 Bridgeport Avenue, the Shelton ShopRite went through extensive renovations this fall with the goal of expanding product offerings and upgrading amenities for its shoppers. In addition to a larger selection of items, improvements also included new lighting and décor that provided a fresh look and feel to the market. The result is a modern and convenient shopping experience for customers in the Shelton area.

Cingari Family ShopRite owns 12 grocery stores in southwestern Connecticut.
