The Radical Agreement Project, the brainchild of veteran improviser Terry Withers, has launched an exciting challenge to the world’s workers:  Come forth with your most daunting, most tenacious, most overwhelming workplace problems, and we will solve them all using improv comedy!

Believe it or not, there are skeptics in the world regarding the useful application of improv comedy exercises within the workplace.  In order to prove these skeptics wrong, The Radical Agreement Project has launched The Improv Workplace Challenge!  This bold and reckless program promises to use improv comedy exercises to resolve even the most challenging workplace issues!

Improv doubters, skeptics, killjoys, and sadsacks, are all invited to share the most daunting and persistent workplace challenges (problems) they’ve encountered.   Examples might include:

1) I worked for a company with many locations in the same county and we kept sending new hires to the wrong location for their first day.

2) Nobody at my company understands our shared internal document management platform.

3) People are willing to come back into the office following a government-mandated shutdown but are strongly resistant to maintaining our old dress code.

(and of course, the ubiquitous)

4) I have a really difficult co-worker….

The thorniest challenges will be selected and then fully SOLVED using a tried and true improv comedy technique.  Instead of using actors, Learning & Development / HR professionals trained in the application of improv comedy by The Radical Agreement Project will perform the improv exercises that will solve the problems.  The results will be recorded and released as a web series late this Spring.

Any parties interested in performing in the videos may also volunteer their acting talents.  All participation is 100% FREE!

Will the application of improv comedy prove victorious in this impossibly ambitious challenge?  The world waits with bated breath for the answer.  Regardless, the video project is sure to provide some good laughs and some great insights into the nature of collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

Asked about the project, founder Terry Withers remarked, “It is just another fun way to bring people together using improv during this challenging time.  You know, we offer free improv for the workplace training sessions over Zoom maybe three to five times a week. But it can get stale approaching improv the same way day in and day out.  So this will provide a fresh look at how to use improvi collaboratively, particularly as it relates to problem solving.  I think it is going to be a metric ton of fun!”
