Customized Handwritten Greeting Cards: The Wolfe Companies Launch New Robotic Handwriting Technology
Wolfe places a pen in the hands of robotic scribes to send notes via Gift Card Granny and PerfectGift.com this holiday season.

The Wolfe Companies, a leading force in the gifting industry committed to creating the next generation of gifting technology, debuted a new technology that will allow anyone to create beautiful, handwritten greeting cards containing one of Wolfe’s customizable Visa gift cards. The personalized greeting cards available on Gift Card Granny and PerfectGift.com will now be written with a pen steered by one of eight robotic scribes in Wolfe’s headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
How does one keep the magic of handwritten cards alive in an age where everyone they know is just a click away? Greeting cards have always been a way to express heartfelt care for someone, but as lives have gotten busier and busier, it’s hard to find the time to sit down and write cards to loved ones during the holidays or to all employees on special occasions.
That’s why Wolfe’s newly developed technology places a pen in the hand of a robot that writes in flowing, realistic script, creating a heartfelt touch that traditional typed print doesn’t capture. Now, anyone can send as many handwritten cards as they’d like this holiday season for $3.95 each.
Wolfe operates multiple business units including Gift Card Granny, GiftYa, and PerfectGift.com, which collectively have sold more than 620K gift certificates, over 3.7M eGift codes, and upwards of 12.15M gift cards, driving a three-year revenue growth of 1,521 percent that earned Wolfe a place as one of Inc.’s top 10 fastest-growing companies in Pennsylvania and one of the top three fastest-growing companies in Pittsburgh.
“Handwriting can capture as much of someone’s personality as the words they write,” says Jason Wolfe, Founder and CEO of The Wolfe Companies. “As a society, we’ve lost that aspect of our written communications. With the holidays right around the corner, it’s time to take back the human side of greeting cards. No one wants a nice, neat note written in Comic Sans. They want a real note, written in real script. This technology can let anyone give them that.”
